W.I.N.G.S. Maternity Home began in February 2009.  After raising my own 4 daughters as a single mother, my heart was drawn to the young women who needed a "mother", who needed love, who needed assurance and who needed to be told that they had a purpose.   I myself grew up as a "foster child" and was adopted at 15 years old.  I struggled with a sense of "belonging" of "knowing who I was and did I have purpose".  I married as a teenager and in those 17 years of marriage I had 4 beautiful daughters.  My marriage ended abruptly after I gave my life to the Lord and to His service. 

In 2009, I opened my own home to house PREGNANT young women of (all ages) who were in need of a safe place to call home.  We have had many different walks of life come through our doors.  Women who have come off the streets addicted to drugs; alcohol; prostitution.  Women who have just been released from jail.  Women who have been pressured into "abortion" but have chosen LIFE and this has caused them to lose their own families.  Women who are referred to us by the agencies in the Durham Region and other areas of Ontario.  Some of our moms just need someone to believe in them.  To give them a chance to prove that they can be a great mom.  Some of our moms come with a 24/7 supervision order and I can say that 99% of our women leave our program as successful and wonderful MOTHERS to their little precious ones.  

We teach our moms about God's UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. They  attend church with us as a family and very quickly into their journey at WINGS they come to know the Lord.  Many of the moms give their hearts to Christ and are walking this day serving Him. 

WINGS Maternity Home is not a government funded program, we sosolely y depend on the generous kindness of the churches and the community of Durham to help us.  I myself work outside of the minsitry in order to provide an income for the home.  God has been so very faithful to us.  Please see areas that you can help us.  We are in need of Financial Supports.
